The East Tech girls basketball team brought home the city championship trophy on Friday.
Down by seven points after the opening quarter, East Tech overcame the deficit to win its fourth straight title defeating John Hay 51-40 at the East Professional Center and earn the program’s 12th trophy.
“It feels great for the girls,” said East Tech coach Melvin Burke. “For the new girls to win as the old girls go out, to continue this legacy was great.” READ MORE
